Christmas was a blast! We had all our family here from Texas and my brother and Amber stayed at our house, they are easy occupants b/c they don't wake up till 10 or so and then are out the door, easy enough for me!
Uncle Brett and Aunt Amber also got him a Diego trike and Kaden REALLY wanted to open that box, but I think we're good with one trike! He loves his Lightning McQueen rain boots though, thanks!
Christmas morning we let Kaden walk downstairs and see what Santa brought him,
and he got really confused when I said, "look he brought you this stuff", as soon as I said it, he started looking around for Santa. It was funny. He opened his stuff from us, cowboy boots, Elmo flashlight, little toys, and Brett opened up his gift from me, cowboy boots as well.

His first pair of cowboy boots, he and Kaden's first pair together!! We got ready and headed to my gram and pop's house and did TONS of more opening there. His big present was his basketball goal from my dad. He was SOOOO excited about it. He started playing immediately and he literally didn't miss a shot for like 7-8 straight times. Everyone was impressed, including myself. He was pumped!

(playing with Jace's guitar) (Papa rockin out with Jace and Kaden)
We opened up all the rest and we were just nestled in presents, wrapping paper and boxes, it was tons of fun. Everyone made out pretty well and the day was fun.
(Papa playing cards with the great-grandkids...so cute!)
My cousins husband, who played soccer in h.s and college a little, bet everyone, not sure how it started, but bet that he could kick a 40 yard field goal.(he can kick like no other) Now mind you, he hasn't worked out, kicked, played soccer, anything for a good 5-6 years, probably. So he kept saying he could do it, and we put him to the test. We headed to Lawrence High's field, he literally stretched for like 2 mins, had a semi-flat football, softball cleats on, and a couple practice kicks, and by our surprise, kicked a 40 yard field goal!!! We were all impressed!
We ate to much, played lots of games, went back and forth from our house to grams, boys played poker(and Steph), won and lost money, watched movies, shopped at the Legends, got good deals, and had SOOO much fun with our family.
It was sad to see everyone go, and get back to "normal" but always fun to get together. I think we are all pretty blessed to have everyone able to visit, have a great time and finish 2008 that way.
We are off to some friends house for the Insight Bowl watch party, then play games and have fun ringing in the New Year.
Thank you everyone for being a part of our lives and I wish everyone a safe and happy New Year!!

2)My Husband:Wow, well what an amazing person to be "addicted" to. Brett is definitely my everything. He is such a sweet, kind, and positive person all the time. Despite our differences, we complement each other so well and it works out perfectly. How did I get so lucky to meet a great guy, fall in love, and get to be with him the rest of my life. I can't imagine life without Brett and just like I said about Kaden, when I'm not with him, I'm always wondering how he is doing, what he's up to, and when I get to see him next. I'm pretty sure obsessed and "addicted" are pretty strong words for this, but I do know that my husband is my world!
3) My Family: Yes I'm addicted to my family. There is nothing better than everyone involved. My parents are both great people! I couldn't have better ones than them. I HATE the way things are right now and despite the circumstance that we all went through about 7 years ago, we choose to live one way or another and we are all choosing to live happy. My dad, is further away now, but I learned so much growing up from him. He is a great dad and tries his hardest at everything. My mom is awesome!! She helps me with sooo much. Having her and my sister around all the time is a blessing and I wouldn't want it any other way. The day I don't live close to home is going to be really hard. My mom can withstand just about anything and is the most caring person around. My sister, is my best friend. She is one I can and do go to about everything. I love having her so close. My brother, who is now further away, is a very determined and strong minded person. He and I have a different bond than the others b/c we grew up longer together as adults. He is also my best friend and one I can count on. My sister-in law Amber, feels more like my sister since she's been a part of our family since she was in like 9th or 10th grade. I love the person she is and how much fun we have together. She can always be my shopping buddy. I couldn't have better in-laws either. Brett's parents and sister have welcomed me with open arms since we first got together and they are great. Since we have distance with his parents too, the time they do come to see us, we treasure. I love my other sister-in-law, Katie just like a sister too. We get along so well and have fun time together. I can go on and on about my grandparents, cousins, & aunts/uncles but it is all the same! I love my "family time"!

I get to go visit her and Julian in January with Kaden and I really cant wait now. Everyone is doing fine and she is recovering from her c-section.
So much fun and he's doing GREAT! He goes back in for scheduled surgery in April and we'll go from there, but you wouldn't know anything is wrong with this kid if you didn't know his story, he's just adorable!
They did 3 things repetitive the whole time. She made him "swim" to the side and grab on, float on his back, and swim to her from just inches away.
He really did great though. It was funny b/c she talks really sweet and quiet to them and you don't think they are listening, but he really was b/c he would be screaming and then when she said "now go to the wall" he would stop b/c he knew he was going under before he got up and to the wall, and he then he would start the crying again. Once he got out he was sooo excited. He kept saying "I whimming in the waten" He was pretty proud of himself and so was I. We go 4 days in a row the first time and then see how often he needs/wants to go. So I'll let you know how today and then next days go soon.
