8 is GREAT!!

Happy 8th Birthday Brooksy!

This year has flown by once again. We made a big move back to Kansas after 3 years in Winston Salem, NC. Moving from 1st grade in NC to 2nd grade in Topeka, KS is a big step and you have adjusted so well. You have made more friends again, and we sure miss our old ones. Adventures never scare you! You have grown leaps and bounds physically, socially, and mentally. I can see you growing up right before my eyes and its crazy sometimes. I can't imagine my/our life without you and your personality. Rough or perfect days, I wouldn't trade them because we are both learning.
You have joined 2 basketball teams, Topeka Raptors and the Kansas United team in Lawrence. After breaking your growth plate in your right wrist shortly after school started and missing almost your entire soccer season, you had the best attitude and determination to get better. You have healed and become stronger in different ways for sure! You played your first soccer game of the season then sat out the rest of the season b/c of your wrist, but got invited to play in 2 tourneys and did awesome. I love watching you play your favorite sports each season! You are an inspiration and good leader to your friends.
We are especially proud of you in your school. You have improved so much and are growing stronger each day. Mrs. Roe is so very proud of you and your hard work, kindness and attitude in class. You have surpassed spelling so have the enrichment portion added and are surpassing in math as well. We couldn't be prouder of you and your abilities.
The friends you are making seem to make you happy and we can't wait to see whats in store next. Your brother and sister love you so much and just want to enjoy time with you, not compete at everything! Remember that one! LOL You have such a sweet soul and deep down truly care for others with a big heart!
Happy birthday buddy! I love you a million times around the world and back. Thank you for your sweet cuddles and goodnight kisses! Love you tons!!

Love mom and dad!
