Happy Halloween!!!

Halloween was a fun one this year with the two boys!!! Kaden has been talking about being Buzz Lightyear since we saw Toy Story 3 in the theaters, so we determined to do that. With that in mind I kept saying it would be so cute to dress Brooks as Mr. Potato Head to go along with him. And that's where it all started!!!

Kaden first had his Preschool Halloween parade on the thursday before and it was sooooo cute! They paraded around the gym and then got on stage and sange a few songs to go along with it. I had heard him practicing these songs at home, so to see them all actually sing them on stage was so cute. He wasn't scared, embarrased or anything, he just did his thing!

Then came Halloween Day/Night. Since we have so many family and friends in town we have to start early on our adventure in order for everyone to see the kids, it's fun, but tiring in and out of the car! Before that though we had a neighborhood pumpkin carving/decorating party in the culd-a-sac. The kids obviously painted all theirs, and I carved one of ours b/c it just wouldn't be right to not carve a pumpkin! It was fun!

After the pumpkins were all done, we started getting dressed. We had fortunately borrowed our neighbors Buzz costume b/c Rooney was Buzz last year for Halloween and the boys are a year apart so it fit pretty well, or so we thought. It was a tiny bit short and not really tight, but b/c it was short....well, we ended up had a minor crotch malfunction with Kaden's costume, but it all worked out and it was no big deal!! :)

Brooks got in all his gear and was, like ALWAYS, happy as a Lark! He didn't even mess with much of it only when we were in the car did the hat get tossed and the slippers fell off, but he was great! He had no clue what was going on, but had fun regardless.

We started out with my grandparents house as we do every year and they were so excited to see the boys. They had a hoot looking at their costumes and giving them their treats!

We were then off to Uncle Neal's house, Brett's uncle, and he always has great treats as well. (sorry no pict) So we stayed there for a bit and then headed to Uncle Brett and Aunt Amber's house! They had a treat for Kaden.....

They were dressed up too!!!! They had a Halloween party the night before and wanted to extend their fun, so they put it on again and answered the door in their get-up. I think Kaden was taken back a bit for a second but just had a smile on his face. He actually said, "Hey mom, maybe I can borrow Uncle Brett's mask next year and be spider man, but I'll have to get my own suit b/c his is to big!"

After that, we went to MaryBeth's house to see our AMAZING daycare providers and all our friends from there and the past!! It was so fun and so cute to see most of the kids all dressed up. We missed a few that couldn't meet us there, but it was fun.

The it was off to Miss Cindy and Coach Self's house (sorry no picts) but Kaden and Brooks got BIG treat bags and then go through her Candy BOOffet! It was really cute. Then finally back home to do some door to door trick-or-treating with dad and it was a success!!

We had a great day/night and I'm anxious for every year this time, it's so much fun!!!
