Soccer & Baseball weekend!

Kaden had his first soccer game/practice! They are the Hobbits and it is just so darn cute! We got him all signed up and ready to go and Aunt Steph defininetly pulled through with her connections in gear. He was going to definintely be an Adidas boy for sure!

They ran out of lime green shirts and soccer balls, but we'll get those next week. Kaden was ready to go though and we brought his own ball just in case...good thing! He was pretty pumped to start and the parents get to interact during the practice part at times too! Brett was pumped about that!

There are 4 boys and 4 girls on the team. They started out with some basics to learn and get warmed up and they all did pretty good. Some are "returners" so knew a little bit more. Kaden warmed up really quick and was sooo excited to just play.

The second half of the session was the "game". They all pretty much are in a huddle from one point to another and just try to kick the ball. They were split in 2 teams...the "limes" (green shirts-minus Kaden) and the "lemons" (ones with yellow penny's on).

They TRIED passing to their teammates, but it's more, first come first serve! Kaden did score 3 goals...in a row....and the ONLY goals made by either team! I was sooo proud of him and he just made me smile b/c he was so proud of himself! He was running so hard every time and did pass to his teammates everyonce in a while. It was hillarious.

GG, Papa, T-Pa(my dad), Granny (my mom), Aunt Steph, Uncle Brett, and Auntie Ann were all in attendance. Ater they were done he was hot, sweaty, and ready for a snack and break! Brett asked if he had fun and he responded with "Dad, I made 3 goals!" So that answered that!

I can't wait for more years to come with all the sporting events we will be attending with our kids. I'm officially a "Soccer Mom" and I'm SOOOO excited!!!

Way to go Kaden, we are so proud of you and are so happy you are having fun!!!

After soccer, we headed up to KU for the baseball game. They were honoring my Papa for 23 years as the winningest KU Baseball coach at KU. He got to throw out the first pitch and we had some fun in the VIP section of the stadium with alumns! Congratulations Papa for a wonderful career at KU and for being such a great inspiration for all of those who followed you. We love you!!!
