Christmas 2012

We celebrated Christmas this year in Lawrence with my family. However we got to do Christmas with the Ballards a week or so early and then spent some time at the Hammerschmidt's on Christmas Eve, so really it was with all the fam's. Minus my Texas family :(

Hopefully we can get all together in the next couple years down there and have fun as well.
We headed out of Tulsa after a great win against ORU on Sat. the 22nd and got in late to Brett and Amber's that night. We hung out the rest of the days and visited a few friends and got to see Gram before she left for Texas as well, so it was fun. We had a blessed Christmas and are so lucky to have what we have and the health we have.

I'm becoming more and more uncomfortable with baby, but I was cleared to go to Florida with the TU team after Christmas, so we were equally excited about after Christmas. We left on the 27th, so it was from Lawrence, to Tulsa, quick day of recovery/laundry/repacking, and then left for Ft. Lauderdale the next day. We had GREAT weather, kids got to swim in December, OUTSIDE, shopped a little and just hung out while it was FREEZING back home. We visited South Beach in Miami and the kids put their feet in the ocean, we weren't prepared to go full out swimming that day, which was FINE, and got to site see along the way with all the yachts, million dollar condos and HUGE houses!  We didn't get to pull out a win at the Orange Bowl classic against Florida State, but we hung in there as long as we could. We headed straight home from the game, and were welcomed with 27 degree weather off the plane! yippeeee!!! But it was good to be back home and get settled back in.

Brett and I enjoyed the little 3 day break from everything for him back in Lawrence, and we had a great time in Florida as well!!!
