GREAT DAY!

Mother's day was a GREAT day for us!
The weekend started with Brett's parents coming to town to watch Katie's kids, but stopped by Kaden's swimming lessons first. He was definitely excited to see a big crowd watching him during lessons, and he did great. We had a great time at the party in KC that night and my brother and Steph dominated, till the very end, in the pong tourney, quite funny to see my sister sink the winning shots at the end on a few rounds!
Sat. Kaden and I just hung out, went shopping a little for some stuff and put together Grandpa Ballard's bday gift. That night we went to Liberty Hall for our friends benefit concert for her husband that is battling cancer right now. Kaden was the first one on the dance floor, and didn't stop till about 10pm, what a dance machine, seriously! We had fun with my brother in town and hanging out, and yes they are officially moving back!!I think the strength and conditioning clinic sealed the deal for Brett and he has so much more opportunities up here in that field.
Sunday we went to church, Brett got home from KC, we went to brunch with both families and then did presents for the moms and Larry's bday at our house. Everyone was excited and Larry was surprised that we got him and Barb tickets to the Earth, Wind & Fire, and Chicago concert in June at the Sprint Center. I think they'll have a great time, and it's just in time to help watch Kaden while we're on our honeymoon, good timing huh!!! (we kinda planned that, jk.) So that was about it.
It's such a great feeling to be a mother and to experience everything I can with Kaden and to feel so loved. Even with our busy busy schedule it's awesome to be there at the end of the day with your child snuggling up to you, even if its with a breathing treatment machine and watching Dora, right before bed and him asking and wanting to read a book with you and then asks to go say prayers. He is the best thing that has happened to us and I am still in awe of actually being his mommy! I just LOVE IT and couldn't ask for anything better!!
