The season has started!!!!

KU basketball has officially started. We had our first exhibition game last Tuesday against Ft. Hays State. Kaden is super pumped about this year, he gets it a little more I think. We put on our new jersey (Cole Aldrich) for the year and he was ready!My mom comes to most of the games with me, so she got to our house and we headed out. Kaden didn't talk the whole way there, and when we got there, he wanted to get out of the car so fast. He was ready.
We got inside the Fieldhouse and I guess it's just tradition, I ALWAYS head to the KUStore and would see/say hi to my sister....well since she doesn't work there anymore it was kinda weird, but my brother and Amber still do, so I was still headed that way and to drop off our jackets! We ran into my brother ahead of time though and just went to the office instead. Kaden didn't want to waste ANY time though and kept saying, let's go mommy, let's goooooo. He didn't want to chit-chat with anyone or stop at all. All he wanted to do was get inside the breezeways and get to the court! So as he was getting upset about not being INSIDE inside, we headed to our seats with a quick stop to get his routine popcorn, Granny always buys!!! We got to our seats and the Alma Mater and then the Star Spangled Banner started to play. So those of you who know, we sway with the Alma Mater and Kaden, even last year, LOVES to hold on to you and sway like everyone else. He is really good about putting his hand over his heart too during the Star Spangled Banner. So we got through all of that, and the Rock Chalk Chant, and he's a dancin' maniac for it all. He cracks me up. I need to get it on video, I'll try to do that soon! He's so good though and a little easier to handle this year, so far.
We've had 2 games now and one tomorrow night. He just gets so excited when I mention that we are going and knows he gets to see daddy coach and gets to wave at him throughout the game. He loves saying hi to all the coaches behind the bench on our way to our seats as well. It's kinda a good luck thing now though too. They all love talking to him quickly and giving high-fives!
So our traditions have started, the season is in effect, the Jayhawks are gonna be awesome and we are sooooo excited.
