Sorry to leave you hanging from a while back...
So, last week Brett left for Detroit for the Final Four on thurs. Kaden and I do our normal routine daily and get by, but we sure miss dad! Friday we decided to go to the KU baseball game with Granny and meet up with Aunt Steph, GG, and Papa there. We did swim lessons and headed straight over. Thank goodness is was "quarter dog night", man I LOVE those dogs!! Kaden sure enjoyed his. We werent really prepared for the sun to go down and get as chilly as it did so we headed out in the 7th inning, but it was fun. Kaden got to hang out with some buddies and goof around in the stands...all boy I tell ya!

Sat morning we went up to KU and they had an Easter Egg hunt for staff kids. It was supposed to be outside, but b/c of iffy weather they put it in the v-ball gym. The Easter Bunny made his appearance and Kaden was definately not to fond of him...AT ALL!! He started clawing at me and my mom and I just kept saying, just ignore him and come find some eggs. By the time he was done being worried that the bunny was going to get him, he only found one lonely egg, but luckily his good friend Cayman gave him one of his eggs. We inched our way back to the bunny as I was trying to convince him to take a picture with him, but he wanted nothing of that. So finally granny got him to at least go with her to get a "special" egg and he did alright!!

Next we did some errands and tried to waste time before Kale's bday party. It got switched from the park to McDonald's due to weather, but it worked out great!!! He is so darn cute and Kaden LOVES his cousin Kale, or as he says it "kay-wel". So we headed to Micky D's had a bite to eat and started in on the fun of the playland. They dont have much "little" kids areas at this one, so Kaden just did what he could do and wasnt real interested in trying to climb the big tunnels and go through the tubes....so I thought...about 20 mins after playing and seeing Kale finally go up there and all the other kids, I turned around and he was heading up a tube climbing the rockwall inside of it and grabbing onto the mesh nets to get to the next part! I was shocked. I sent Emily, Dain's neice, up after him incase he got scared, she would help him. So they went and they went and he was fine a couple times through. He next wanted to go with Kale and Rocky and Josh, the bigger kids, and hang with them. They made it alllll the way through from one side to the other and towards the big twisty slide and all of a sudden we are looking up and I see Kaden's face in the bubble and he's crying...the other kids are already down the slide...I hear him and I couldnt help but laugh, but also felt sorry for him, you could just see his little fingers holding on for dear life and wouldnt slide down. So the big kids went in after him, but they are on the complete opposite side...by the time they got close to him he had finally decided to let go, you just see his little fingers let go and down he came. As he came out he was laughing, so he made it!!! He had fun overall and was exhausted by the time we got home!

Steph and mom got done working the womens bball game and Steph said she would ride the bike with me while I had to do 11 miles, so we headed out and got that done. Luckily we got it done with RIGHT before it started raining on us, little windy, but I got it done and didnt have to do it on a treadmill this time, yeah!!
Sunday Kaden and I went to church, headed home, ate lunch and down for a nap. We had Cooper's Cuase bowl-a-thon at 3:30, so I wanted him to get some nap in before that and he did just that and woke up right in time to change and head over. We had a blast, as he's never bowled before and it was a hoot. Brett called when we were heading over and he made it back to KC and was heading home, so he got to meet us there shortly after it started and we were excited to see him. Brett was pretty worried to walk in a see his son carrying a bowling ball to the lane and roll it down, although we had been doing it for a half hour before he even got there, pretty funny! We made a little over $900 for the event, so not bad for a quick put together event for a lot of fun. Ate dinner, headed home and down for the night.
Needless to say, we had another eventful weekend and it just carries through the week.

We are heading to Hutch and Haviland this weekend for Easter with Brett's family and we are really excited to get out there. We havent been out that way for QUITE some time, really longer than it should be, but busy schedules come in to play. So we will do more Easter Egg hunts, another family bday party for Kale (I get to make his spiderman cake) and get to see a lot of family.
Have a great Easter weekend and may God Bless you all!
PS-The "One Shining Moment" Video, was shocking but so fun, to see Kaden and I on, hope you all got a glimpse! (He's just to darn cute!)
