CRAZY WEEKEND!!

So with my husband gone for the KU-MU game this weekend, I was filled with a house of little BOYS!!! A 4 yr old, an almost 3 yr. old, and a 2 1/2 mth old!!! It was a lot of FUN though! Minus getting a sinus infection and feeling like my head was going to pop off any minute, I think I did ok!
We took our nephew Kale in Friday night b/c mommy was going to be induced early Sat. morning to welcome our newest niece into the world. Well, as things went, she got pushed back on Sat. to a later start time b/c there were LOTS of babies being born, and by the end of the day, she was pushed back to be induced Sunday morning. So we played, wrestled, went to KU baseball games, ate out, wrestled, slept in sleeping bags, did puzzles, wrestled, played basketball, played at the park, wrestled, read books, and even watched some movies, along with some more wrestling!!! We had a blast!!





Waking up in the morning was so fun!!!


So Sat. night, after we BEAT MU, we went out to eat with the Ballard's, Hammerschmidts and some of their family and I just told Katie to let me keep Kale again for the night b/c we'll be doing the same thing tomorrow and you can just relax and have your baby!! :0
So he got to stay with us again, and Brett got home in time to help with some baths and play time before it was bed time! I just had a hunch though that Katie was going to go into labor before she made it to her inducing time Sunday morning.....and I was RIGHT!!! I got a text at 1AM that they were heading to the hospital and around 5AM got the text that Shay Lee Hammerschmidt was born 7lbs. 10oz. YEAH she was here and everyone was excited.



As the kids woke up that morning Kale was pumped his new sister was here and wanted to head to the hospital but he and Kaden's real reason to go there was to be able to eat in the hospital cafeteria!!! And they did. After meeting Shay for a whole 5-10 mins. they were off with Brett to the cafeteria!! I went to run my 10 miles and then we headed to another KU baseball game and they wore themselves out, but it was sooo cute to see them "grown up" a little and go off (within eyesight) on their own. Where are our little boys going??







We are so excited for Katie and Dain along with Kale and Bailey for their new little bundle of joy! Congrats Hammerschmidts!!

Now it's almost time for some Big 12 tournament action!!
